As schools eagerly open following presidential directive to open schools after almost two years of closure due to Covid-19 lockdown, the Makerere Highway secondary school students remain stranded at their school gate.
The school placed along Makerere Hill Road, stands on rented property which has caused rent accumulation during the lockdown which the school administration has not cleared yet.
By today, the fees were still pending as clearly confirmed by what is seen below. The landlord kept the place locked and insists for until an agreement is reached.
The landlord for the school demands for at least two months rent payment by the school before premises can be accessed again as a school. It is utter dilemma for the students of Makerere Highway secondary school with not much explanation from the school administration.
