Besigye has been arrested again today for protesting high commodity prices. The human rights activist has just been released from remand prison of the same.

He was intercepted in downtown Kampala where he is said to have started mobilizing traders to wake and join him.

The former presidential candidate was arrested and detained at Kampala Central Police station for protesting government inaction to cushion vulnerable Ugandans against skyrocketing commodity prices.
